New to this class
Welcome. Here is exactly what you missed, and exactly how to catch up.
This class has been running since Thursday, August 13. Every lecture, worksheet and answer key from those weeks is on this page, in the order to work through them, and all of it is due by Monday, October 12.

Take the readiness check
Twelve questions, twelve different skills, about fifteen minutes. It is not graded and the score is not sent to me — it exists to tell you which parts of the catch-up plan you actually need.
Loading your progress…
Work the plan, in order
Take the check first — it decides which skills get added to this list, so the plan is not complete until you have.
Start here
Two documents, twenty minutes, and they are the two that cause problems later if you skip them. The calculator agreement has to come back signed.
Read the grading breakdown and the late-work policy properly. You are responsible for it from today.
Print it, sign it, get a parent signature, and hand it in. You will need a calculator for every assessment.
The first two days
What the class did on Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14. The two Prerequisite Math worksheets at the end are the same ones the readiness check above is drawn from — so if the check went badly, this is where it gets fixed.
The full class recording. Watch it, do not skim it.
Every question, front and back, with your work shown. This was due in the first week.

Every lecture you have missed
One recording per class, in order. This is the biggest block of time on the page and there is no shortcut through it — these are the lessons, not a summary of them.
The paper that goes with it
The notes, the slides and the homework for the unit we are in right now. The guided notes are first for a reason — they are what you write on while the recordings play.
Print this first and fill it in as you watch the recordings. Do not watch without it.
Work back through every assignment on this doc, oldest first.
The practice set for the unit. Start it once the recordings are done.
Catch up to where we are today
Short, not graded, nothing collected. Do these once the recordings are done and you will be working on the same thing the class is working on this week.
- Confounded8 min
Eleven headlines claim one thing caused another. File the variables, fix the study, name what your fix handles, then decide whether it prints.
- Write the Question8 min
Every investigative question does three jobs. See them in a finished one, find the one missing from a broken one, then build your own from nothing.
Show me you are level
Save it as a PDF and send it to me. You do not have to wait until everything is ticked — if you are partway through, send it anyway so I can see where you are.
Take the readiness check first — the report is built from it.
If any of this is not working, come and find me. Before your next class rather than in a few weeks. Starting a course late is a scheduling problem, not a verdict on you, and it is a very fixable one — but it is much easier to fix early, and I can only help with what I know about.
